AI Fundamentals TrainingCovering ChatGPT, Gemini and NotebookLM — with subsidy application support
From knowing about generative AI to actually using it at work. Eight modules, around ten hours, with exercises built around your own operations, so that participants leave with skills and templates they can use the next day.
Target
Who this is for“We don’t know where to start.”
Companies that have only just begun considering generative AI.
“We introduced it, but nobody uses it.”
Companies where a licence was bought but only a few employees actually use it.
“People are using it with no rules in place.”
Companies that want safeguards against information leaks before rolling it out company-wide.
We work with everyone from executives and managers to staff on the floor, and adjust the curriculum to the department and the level of experience.
Program
How the training is built- Eight modules, around 10 hours of hands-on work. It does not end with lectures.
- We cover three tools — ChatGPT, Gemini and NotebookLM — including where in your work each one fits, not just how to operate them.
- Exercises are built around your own actual work.
- From one participant. The curriculum is adjusted to the department and the level.
- In person, online or hybrid.
The programme may qualify for the Human Resources Development Subsidy of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. Please check the ministry's published information for the requirements and screening. We assess eligibility free of charge.
About
What AI training actually involvesAI training is the general term for programmes that get people to the point of using generative AI in their work. The aim is not to memorise how the tools are operated, but to reach the point where a person can judge where in their own work it applies.
Programmes broadly split in two. One centres on learning the operations. The other has participants bring their own work and finish one deliverable on the day. The first can be run in a short session, but tends not to be used once the training ends.
One more point: do not separate this from setting internal rules. If the line for what may be entered has not been drawn, participants cannot use the tools at work. Including that decision inside the scope of the training is what lets people act the next day.
Scope
What this training coversTools and scope
- Covers ChatGPT, Gemini and NotebookLM, through to judging which to use when
- The standard programme is eight modules, about ten hours. Split delivery — two half-days, five two-hour sessions — is also possible
- Participants bring their own work in advance and finish one deliverable on the day
- As an output of the training, the line for what information may be entered is written down
- Can be run from one participant. A small group or a single department is fine
Participants are never asked to enter real customer information during training. Worked examples use altered material.
Subsidy
Whether a subsidy appliesRelation to the Human Resources Development Promotion Subsidy
- The standard programme meets the hours requirement (ten hours or more)
- Whether a given configuration meets the requirements is checked together at the quotation stage
- Payment is subject to the requirements and to review by the Labour Bureau. Receipt is not guaranteed
FAQ
Frequently asked questionsWhat is AI training?
It is a programme that gets people to the point of using generative AI in their work. It covers more than operating the tools: it goes as far as being able to judge where in your own work it applies. In our programme, participants bring their own work and finish one deliverable on the day.
What is the difference between ChatGPT training and Gemini training?
The tools differ. If day-to-day work centres on Google Workspace, Gemini is the axis; if the aim is to lift written work regardless of tool, ChatGPT is. The standard curriculum touches both and builds the judgement to use each in its place.
Can employees take part with no prior experience of AI?
Yes. The design assumes beginners, and a pre-course questionnaire is used to check familiarity and adjust the pace.
How do we choose between training and AI consulting?
Training makes it so that everyone can use it; consulting makes it so that the work itself changes. Lifting the baseline with training first and then restructuring the work through consulting is also a workable combination.
Can we take the training before we have internal rules?
Yes. In fact, deciding the line for what information may be entered is included as an output of the training. Being used with no rules in place is the larger risk.
Indicative price: from JPY 100,000 net for the standard plan, based on the Japanese government’s human resources development subsidy (excluding tax). Terms and the full breakdown are on the detailed page.
